Statistics from Manzhouli custom shows that, totally 1.731 million US dollar of toys have been exported in 2008 through ports administrated by Manzhouli, registering the lowest record during the past 5 years. It declined by 64.5 percent against the same period of the previous year.

 

      Five traits could be seen for toy export of the region. Firstly, its export only goes to Russia. Secondly, price for export has increased but total amount declined. In the year of 2008, price index for toy export through Manzhouli recorded 175.8% and amount index was 20.2%. Thirdly, general trade is the major mode for Manzhouli’s business, and small-volume transaction in border is losing its throne in former days. Fourthly, overseas investment, state-own companies and private-owned business become three rival powerful entities. Finally, “Other Toys of Assembled Kits or Finished Kits, and Other Toys with Power Setting”, as well as “Models” continue to se growth in export.
