July will see a Sino-Tadzhikistan trading investment expo in Dushanbe, capital of Tadzhikistan, which will be Organized by Ministry of Commerce and supported by Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation in various provinces and cities.
Tadzhikistan is the presider in turn for Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in 2008. The event in July aims to enhance the communication among China, Tadzhikistan and other member states of SCO, as well as to help China’s companies in tapping market of Central Asia and adjacent regions.
China’s trade Tadzhikistan with Tadzhikistan continues to grow during these years. However, due to economic composition of former Soviet Union and economic recovery after independence, commodities in domestic Tadzhikistan are in short supply and disequilibrium. It has a strong demand on China’s merchandises. Economy of Central Asian countries has made considerable achievement with each passing years.
Most of China’s commodities sold in regular sales channel are transited through Russia and Kazakstan, which are warmly received despite of high price. It has laid a good market foundation and price margin for direct trade to Tadzhikistan.
Moreover, from Tadzhikistan to Afghanistan, a wholesales channel is shaping rapidly, where China’s commodities are leading characters. According to survey of Chinas’ Economic and Commercial Counsellor in Tadzhikistan, China’s furniture, automobile and accessories, apparel, dishware, house appliance, toys and telecommunication products are highly competitive in local market.
Expo this session is a first large fair funded by Chinese government in the country since Tadzhikistan got independent, which gains strong support of the two sides.
Exhibits include toys, gifts, arts and crafts, textile, telecommunication facilities, house appliance, sport and outdoors goods, etc.
