Wooleworths, Hasbro, Mattel and Rubies Masquerade were all winners at the second annual Licensing Awards ceremony.
Presented by comedian Simon Amstell, in front of almost 1,000 people at the Royal Lancaster Hotel last month, Hasbro scooped the “Best Licensed Toys or Games Range” prize for its Spider-Man 3 toys; Mattel’s TMX Elmo added the “Best Licensed Interactive Range” prize, and ”Best Licensed Children’s’ Apparel or Accessories Range” went to Rubies for its Scooby-Doo Dress Up. Woolworths walked away with three retail awards, winning the pre-school and schollers categories, as well as the overall award.
The judging for the product categories, for which 4,000 products were entered, was conducted by a prestigious panel of retailers from leading brads such as M&S, Woolworths and Mothercare. The judges assessed each product entry considering the following criteria; the excellence of design, innovation and originality; consumer targeting and quality of manufacture and packaging. █ |
