| Suppliers for TRU Are Required to Go through Safety Audit |

Based on C-TPAT, customs and business circles of US cooperate in a spontaneous way, requiring importers to carry out comprehensive evaluation on their multinational supply chain. In view of this, Toys R Us makes notice to its suppliers.
The notice was released by the nation’s largest toy retailer in this March. It is decided that, from the year of 2008, all suppliers must offer certificate of C-TPAT from Intertek when making shipment. Moreover, TRU’s manual of delivering goods for 2007 is special requirement for importing to US, which is necessary for suppliers.
In accordance with the safety standard of C-TPAT, importers must guarantee the safety of containers, gate sentry control, safety of staff, safety training and vigilance consciousness, entity safety and computer safety. More details for application can be found on Intertek’s homepage. |
