TÜV Believes in China’s Safety in Toys
Author: By Toys Industry  Post Date: 2007-11-12

TÜV, or "Technical Supervision Association" recently makes a notice to introduce its inspection details in China, indicating that China’s toys are much safer than any previous time. It also expresses its disagreement against some consumers organizations’ boycotting China’s toys.

The southern Germany branch of the association holds that, consumers should not reject China’s product without exception, since Germany also sees non-standardized companies itself. Why a great percentage of products with problems are China’s items directly results from the fact that a majority of consumable in Germany come from China.

Generally speaking, much more China’s products have gone through inspection than ever, and then higher safety standard is guaranteed. Moreover, the association is against the requirement of German consumer association, who restrict import of China’s toys.

At the same time, consumers are cautioned not to hanker after low-price toys, which might not have high quality.
