August 31st, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) announced to implement the administrative provision on kids’ toy recalling.

Kids’ toys produced by makers, even if they tally with related safety law, regulation and mandatory standard, might be required to be ceased production and sales if they are determined to have defect after investigation and evaluation so that possible damage or injuries can effectively avoided.

Particularly, toys that fail to meet national safety standard in government’s supervisory spot test will be recalled directly if they are found to have defect. At the same time, safety and consumption warning will be released.
